The victim was securing her 2-year-old in a car seat at the BWI Airport around 9 a.m., Monday, July 18 when Tiarra D. Davis, 36, got in the driver's seat and began driving away, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority Police.
Davis dragged the victim around 150 feet before stopping as the victim tried to remove her child from the moving vehicle, police said. Medics rushed to the victim to begin treatment of minor injuries.
A suspected intoxicated Davis was located with the victim's vehicle a short distance away, and she was taken into custody.
Davis has been charged with multiple criminal and traffic-related charges, including kidnapping, motor vehicle theft, and a DUI.
